So, maybe two centuries before her birth, Omega foresaw Annie and her role. Once again, I am left wondering just how much a role Omega had in Annie's conception and existence. Did the try to prevent her from existing only for Time to show that it is still in charge by making the same thing happen with a different girl?

All the other readers seem to understand what's going on in this chapter. I am baffled as.

From the history we know, those parents will be scared and won’t know how to handle her. Zeta/Zimmy will become a street kid, who eventually finds Gamma. Bet Omega guided most of that process!

Considering her predictions seemed to work until roughly 25 (Tony's instructions in "Get Lost" had an omega on it)-5 years ago (Annie arrived and started(?) a time loop) that's still a pretty good run! • Speaking of, will this... event... involve a split? A girl splits in two or a seemingly perfect Court power couple suddenly breaks up? • Did they use her for the world wars?

Testing perfect predictions? That explains why the Court sent young Tony Carver all over the world to observe seemingly innocuous events. His trip to the jungle with Surma resulted in them falling in love, which led to Annie’s birth, who is the girl who eventually helped Kat ascend to godhood. So, Omega is responsible for the process that led to her own predictions becoming less reliable. Having all the information, Omega could have stopped it at different times, or helped the process along.She wasn’t always content being a predictor rather than an actor. No wonder her NuMan avatar in Zimmyworld seemed so tickled to lead the group and peek ahead. :-) Imagine the adventure of new discovery for a nearly omniscient person!

Omega, dear... you have sacrificed your life for academy and work. I guess "real life" might not be so exciting -- she can see anyone's present, past and future after all, and moreover being still is her comfort zone. But I wish she had some happy and a little more dynamic life with Charles. Court is like corporate culture, which values result over people. Oh, Omega, you're so old now, you're older than Charles...

"An event and a girl" will be ruining it for her? If her predictions become less and less accurate she might not even know that for certain.

Ah, as I suspected: Omega's ethereally-enabled "perfect" knowledge of the current state of the world (apparently overcoming quantum uncertainty) will lead to the ability to predict the future until becoming overcome in turn by an agent of chaos - or should that be "KAOS"?

Was that random thing when Surya agreed to go on that information-fathering mission with Tony? That was such a beautiful chapter.

Impressive that she could predict the breakdowns in her own predictions. It leaves me with some questions as to what the nature of the disruption is...

I'm reminded of the parents watching that colorful slug appear in the jungle years ago. Predicted events...
