Wait, was their work with Omega actually started with GOOD INTENTIONS? I might not have had any idea where this was going, but if you'd asked me to take a guess that would have been the furthest thing from my mind.

Tom, for whatever it's worth the placement of the detail in the middle of the first panel made me assume it was a frame so I read only the first speech bubble and then read the panel below, which confused me for a moment. If no one else mentions it though, please ignore me!

So, has Court's desire to find a place without the Aether rooted in a desire to grant mental peace to Omega (thus, the "Omega Project"), have they always wanted to flee Earth and Omega is the tool they are using to achieve their goal, or did they eventually realize all the non-aetheric-enabled people could "escape" the aether on Earth along with Omega?...or something else entirely?

Who says “your mind must be a fog”? It looks like that is her thought, an unattributed balloon, like the further description of her thoughts as like a lightning storm. But why would she say that to him? Is she speaking into his mind or just to herself? So far all she has said out loud (aside from through the birds) is “mmm”. This must be Zimmy. She has that same look of relief from a slight reprieve from her condition (rain, Gamma, Annie) I certainly can’t image this person having a child…just because she wouldn’t want to pass this condition on. But seems similar to Annie and her mother…fire sprite… what kind of entity is Zimmy’s line? And it’s making me wonder more about Anja, Kat’s mother. What kind of entity is she? She seems fully aware that she was bringing a technical genius into being. Ok, I’m fully re-engaged with Gunnerkrigg after drifting off these last 6 months.

I do think this will somehow lead to the formation of the court. Omega (or whoever this first being was) being the seed bismuth. I like idea that Zeta is the bad aspects of what Omega became. Not sure who said that though. Excited to see where this next time jump brings us

As more and more of the totality of the universe gets caught in the shields rather than landing in poor Omega's overwhelmed brain, I can imagine the content of that shield-data becoming pretty interesting...
